Cigna 90 NowSM adds more pharmacies for 90-day fills

Pharmacy choice and convenience are fundamental to Cigna 90 Now – a program that helps make it easier for customers to get 90-day prescription fills of maintenance medications. The program already included thousands of retail pharmacies – from local neighborhood pharmacies and retail chains, to those within grocery stores or wholesale warehouse stores. Now, that selection grows even more, to include expanded grocery chain options.

Added pharmacies include:

  • Publix
  • Sam’s Clubs
  • HY-Vee
  • Safeway
  • Albertsons

How these added pharmacies will help customers

We take a consultative approach to match the best combination of access and savings to fit each client’s benefits strategy and member needs. Our Cigna 90 Now networks offer Walgreens-anchored and CVS-anchored options, both with the added value of 90-day fills to help drive plan affordability and better medication adherence. As of September 2021, the additional pharmacies became available for 90-day fills in the Cigna 90 Now CVS network. As of January 1, 2022, the additions are also now available for 90-day fills in the new Cigna 90 Now Walgreens Savings network.

Cigna 90 Now continues to help make it easier for customers to fill their medications
For customers that have Cigna 90 Now as part of their pharmacy benefits plan, the program means the choice to fill maintenance medications in either a 30- or 90-day supply. Customers can use any retail pharmacy in their plan’s 90-day network and have the option of switching to a 90-day supply at any time. Or, they can use Express Scripts, our home delivery pharmacy (if their plan allows).

To fill a 90-day supply, customers are encouraged to take these steps:

  • Find/confirm an in-network pharmacy. Customers can log in to the myCigna® app or website.
  • Request a 90-day prescription. Customers can call their doctor’s office and ask to get a 90-day (3-month) prescription1 sent electronically to their pharmacy.
  • Compare medication costs online. Customers can log in to the myCigna app or website and click on “Price a Medication” to see how much a 90-day supply will cost at the different pharmacies in their plan’s network.2
  1. Certain medications may only be packaged in lesser amounts. For example, three packages of oral contraceptives equal an 84-day supply. Even though it’s not a “90-day supply,” it’s still considered a 90-day prescription.
  2. Prices shown on myCigna are not guaranteed and coverage is subject to plan terms and conditions. Visit myCigna for more information.
