inMyndSM – elevated behavioral health support

Behavioral and mental health challenges have a significant impact on society. In fact, 1 in 5 Americans will struggle with mental illness1 – with many not getting the support they need due to stigma and access to care. Along with the personal hardship, it’s costing employers about $44 billion annually in lost productivity.2 This is why we’re proud to introduce inMynd – a new pharmacy behavioral health solution included with our integrated pharmacy benefits at no additional cost.

Through inMynd, we harness the claims data and multiple touch points of the pharmacy benefit. We use this to connect customers to their available Cigna behavioral benefits, which customers may not otherwise use – due to stigma and/or lack of awareness. Our goal is to improve every customer’s whole body health by focusing on three areas:

  1. Initial connection point/screening to support and evaluate if a customer may benefit from behavioral health coaching.
  2. Help to improve adherence to medications.
  3. Help to drive proper use of antidepressant, anti-insomnia and anti-anxiety medications. By helping to ensure customers understand proper use of a treatment and when/how to discontinue that treatment, if appropriate, we may help avoid unnecessary cost, treatments and possible side effects.

Cigna’s integrated benefit design deploys a strong, holistic approach to an employer’s mental health challenges. With inMynd, we offer the support customers need to strive for a lower total cost of care and improved health and productivity.
